KNIT YOUR TENSION SWATCH FIRST, IF YOU USE A STITCH PATTERN, KNIT SWATCH IN THIS PATTERN, THEN CHOOSE YOUR PATTERN WITH THE RIGHT GAUGE

STITCH OR KNITTING GAUGE, AND TENSION: depends on the pattern of stitches in the fabric and the tension of the
individual knitter or crocheter ( or how tightly one knits or crochets, and thick or thin yarns produce different stitches ).
 Gauge (Stocking Stitch, or any other knit or fantasy stitch over 4 in = 10 cm): 24,0 stitches by 32,0 rows.
 Body knit by hand on 4 mm needles
 Ribbing knit by hand on 3 mm needles

FINISHED DIMENSIONS: (ins): ... with Moderate fit.
 Length: 5,3 Waist: 10,8
 Hem Len: 0,3 Skirt Bottom: 12,1
 Waistband Len: 0,5

Note: Read ALL these instructions thoroughly BEFORE starting to knit.
 

BACK AND FRONT (the same):
1. Cast on 34 stitches on size 3 needles. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 0,5 ins (approx. 4 rows). Change to size 4 needles and Stocking Stitch.
2. Increase 1 st at each end of next row, then every following 16th row 1 times to 38 stitches. Total 22 rows.
3. knit even until skirt measures 5,0 ins (40 rows).
4. Hem. knit next 0,5 ins (4 rows) in garter stitch or pattern stitch of choice. Cast off loosely.

FINISHING:
1. SKIRT CORD. Optional (to lace through the ribbing stitches). Make a cord approx 23,9 ins long for the waist. Some suggestions are: crochet chain st, braids, I-cord. A contrast colour might look good here.
2. Sew sides seams using invisible seam. Sew in all loose ends.

AMOUNT OF YARN REQUIRED TO MAKE GARMENT:
