BODY:
1. Collar. Cast on 108 stitches on size 4 needles. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 6,6 cms (approx. 22 rows).
2. Inc 22 stitches evenly across the last row. Total 130 stitches. Change to size 5 needles.
3. knit 2 rows in Stocking Stitch. Inc 1 st at each end on next and every following 2nd row 25 times more, to total
182 stitches. knit even until piece measures (from collar, at center back) 24,9 cms (66 rows).
4. Armholes (leg openings). knit 19 stitches, place next 16 stitches on a holder. With a second ball of yarn knit 112 stitches,
place next 16 stitches on a holder. With a third ball of yarn knit to end. knit these three sections for the leg openings
at the same time for 9,6 cms (26 rows), ending on a purl row.
5. Next row, to close the leg openings. knit with first ball of yarn only. knit across first section, cast on 16 stitches,
knit middle section, cast on 16 stitches, then knit to end.
6. knit even for 24,7 cms (61 rows more). Total length from collar (along the front seam) is 59,7 cms.
7. Back Shaping. Transfer 21 stitches to a holder at the beginning of the next two rows. knit two rows even. Decrease 1
st at each end of next and every following row 32 times more until 74 stitches remain. knit even until knit measures
79,8 cms, not including collar. Cut yarn. Place remaining stitches on a holder.

BOTTOM HEM:
1. Sew center front seam from top of collar to beginning of back shaping.
2. With right side facing and using size 4 circular needle, start at center front seam. Pick up and knit 21 stitches from the
front edge holder, 41 stitches along the back shaping, 74 end stitches from the holder, 41 stitches along the back shaping, and 21 stitches from the front edge holder. Total 198 stitches.
3. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 2,5 cms (approx. 6 rows).
4. Cast off loosely in ribbing.

SLEEVES:
1. With the right side of the knit facing you, using size 4 circular needle (or a set of double pointed), pick up 77 stitches
evenly spaced around the four sides of the armhole.
2. knit in K1P1 ribbing for 2,5 cms (approx. 8 rows).
3. Cast off loosely in ribbing.
4. knit second sleeve as for first.

FINISHING:
1. Optional. To keep the back end of the sweater in place, attach a piece of elastic, stretchy knitted cord or a thin
knitted band (approx. 28,9 cms long) on each side from the back corner to just in front of the back leg. Adjust as
necessary.
2. Sew in all loose ends.

FINISHING:
1. Optional. To keep the top of the sweater from sliding around, you may want to knit a band or two (approximately
1 in. wide by 43,6 cms long). Garter stitch or any other noncurling stitch will knit well here. Fit the sweater on
the dog, then sew the band(s) in place between the front and back legs.
2. Optional. To keep the back end of the sweater in place, attach a piece of elastic, stretchy knitted cord or a thin
